Administrative Assistant

We are looking to appoint a part-time Administrative Assistant.  Principle duties include:-

General adminstration duties.

Typing of correspondence, reports, specifications, etc.

Faxing, photocopying, collating and binding reports.

Answering the telephone and dealing with visitors.

Spreadhseet and database entry.

Sending out company information and mailshots.

You will need to have strong typing skills with excellent attention to detail, a confident telephone manner and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.  Above all, you will be a team player who can demonstrate an enthusiastic approach and flexible attitude to help with ad hoc duties.

 

Graduate Geotechnical Engineer / Technician

We are seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer/Technician to assist in the delivery of geotechnical projects,, principally within the building development and railway sectors.  The position offers the opportunity to provide input to technical report writing, preparation of engineering drawings and site works under the supverision and mentoring of our senior engineers.

The role carries significant opportunity for involvement with the development and technical support of our geotechnical database system, gINT, and for devleopment of our internal IT systems.

The position would provide an excellent blend of experience within railway geotechnics. through to geo-environmental assessment of development sites, to the handling and manipulation of digital data.  Opportunity for taking on further responsibility will emerge from our expending workload as experience develops.

Educational Background and Experience

A degree in civil/geotechnical engineering or related discipline is required together with a minimum 2 years experience in the industry, and a good working knowledge of AutoCAD, ACCESS and EXCEL.  Experience of using other geotechnical software, such as gINT, Slope/W, GIS, contouring packages, etc would be an advantage.

The role requires good communication skills, self-motivation and the ability to work on your own or in a team.
